Residential Design

designthumbGreat buildings work, are beautiful, and are healthy for you to live and work in.

We can help you discover what Sustainable, Bio-Climatic, and Vernacular models work best for your location and budget, and then help you to realize your dreamhome.

We are advocates for the Ringing Cedars/Anastasia movement and love the idea of designing homes with a heartbeat. The homes that are part of this movement are bio-regional, sustainable, able to be built in phases (by the owner), have fences of planted berry bushes, and have gardens and orchards for complete self-sustainability. This movement is about interacting with nature, taking only what you really need, and giving everything you cannot use back to the earth, plants, and animals. If you are interested in living like this, please enjoy Vladamir Megre's Ringing Cedars  Series Book 3 - The Space of Love to get a taste!

Our work includes:

  • Truly green residences
  • Recycled houses
  • Kin Domains (self-sustainaing bio-dynamic farms)
  • Integrated gardens and landscapes
  • Meditation rooms and gardens

Testimonials

"Rachel has discovered within herself a strong motivation for scholarship and research. (She) has, by all standards, a thorough architectural education, a two semester study in Italy and a summer working as a preservation–design assistant in France with one of the leading Medievalists in the profession. Her personality reflects... intellectual growth and a synthesis of ideas. She also has an innate ability to understand architecture as design and as theory. I feel strongly about (her) potential as a scholar, a designer and as a future university instructor."
Joseph M. Hutchinson, Professor of Architectual History, Texas A&M

Quote of the Day

"If we don't change, we don't grow. If we don't grow, we are not really living."
